Hofseth BioCare (HBC) is pleased to announce it has been named winner of the Ringier Technology Innovation Ingredients and Raw Materials Award 2022 in China.
HBC secured the prestigious Food and Beverage industry award for its ProGo® bioactive peptides ingredient. The peptides that constitute ProGo® provide not only nutritional benefits, such as collagen for skin health, but also deliver benefits beyond nutrition, including antioxidant effects to sustain overall health and promote energy. Thanks to its unique antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, ProGo® has earned a myriad of health claims, including the world’s first iron-free supplement label from Health Canada for treatment of iron deficiency. Most recently, ProGo® was recognised as a ‘New Dietary Ingredient’ (NDI) by the FDA and achieved seven new FDA structure function claims.
“We’re proud to see our pure, proven and powerful ingredient recognised through these leading awards,” said Dr Crawford Currie, Head of Medical R&D at HBC. “We look forward to the future, as we continue to build on our core values of optimal utilisation of natural resources and uncompromising performance.”
A global leader in marine lipid and peptide research, HBC uses patent-protected hydrolysis technology to convert fresh sashimi-grade salmon by-products into nutritional ingredients for the enhancement of human health.
